Property Stylist - Julie Cowdy

With a degree in Textiles and Fashion Design, Julie began her career as a fashion designer.

After teaching Art & Design for many years, she then changed direction, moving more towards interior décor and design. She gained a diploma in Interior Decorative Effects and then studied Interior Design.

Since then she has been trained by Ann Maurice, Channel Five's 'House Doctor' and started staging houses for sale to maximise their selling potential and sale price. Dawna Walter, presenter of BBC2's 'Life Laundry' programme, trained Julie to help and advise on de-cluttering techniques

She says she gets a buzz out of sorting rooms and achieving the best potential look for a house. On entering a property, Julie automatically assesses each room for style and practicality, visualising how the space could be improved.

Her academic and artistic experience, coupled with an innate flair, gives Julie the confidence and expertise necessary for successful property presentation.
