House styling

THE CONCEPT

Staged2Sell or Styled2Stay......

So what's the difference?
Home Staging - is a technique to help sell your house. It is done rapidly, on an agreed budget, making the most of what's already there with a few extra touches where necessasry to create an aspirational look.
Sometimes referred to as 'property presentation', it's the art of preparing, packaging and presenting a house for sale so as to make it appeal to the widest possible range of buyers.
It's an editing process - a neutralisation of the client's taste. After all, you're selling your house, not its contents.

Interior Design - is carried out to make your home more stylish and pleasurable for YOU to live in. This takes into account your personal preferences and needs.
Our consultant is able to advise you, with an awareness of both contemporary design trends and period styles.
It is an additive process - a reflection of the client's taste.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Why bother spending money on a property you're about to leave?

As Ann Maurice, The House Doctor™ found, homes that are professionally 'staged' sell faster and for 10-15% more than their competition.

  • What sort of cost are we talking about?

Our advice consultancy, whether verbal or written, is affordable to all. After a free, no-obligation questionnaire, consultation services start at £45. Any recommended changes, de-cluttering and accessorising can be done by you the client or, at additional cost, arranged by Styling Spaces.

  • How can a quick fix make such a difference?

Surface changes don't cost the earth but can make the world of difference. Think accessories - a belt or piece of jewellery can make an outfit. The same goes for a house.

  • It seems to be all 'de-cluttering' and cleaning nowadays. Why does it work?

A buyer will choose the best home at the best price that meets his needs. After all, you'd try to look your best if you went for a job interview, and you wouldn't try to sell your car without smartening it up. Would you?
