"After 8 months on the market, a house in a popular Yorkshire market town wasn't attracting offers. Styling Spaces was called in to do some house doctoring. We discovered some dust and dirt, but there were also damp patches on the chimneybreast in the master bedroom and living room. The owner had previously moved out and the property was unlikely to sell in this condition. We managed the project for the owner, turning it around in a matter of days. The damage was repaired and the affected areas re-plastered. We had the house cleaned and repainted in a natural shade throughout. We accessorised the bathroom and kitchen, the rest of the rooms being empty but looking stylish and clean. Next, photographs were taken by a new agent of our recommendation. Within ten days two offers were received and a purchase price agreed for £5,500 above the original price, more than covering the cost of the work."
